Bexley Removals is an origin-led international removals brand built around the SE-London household end of the move. Same crew, same lorry, single document trail — from the DA-postcode collection to the destination delivery in France, Spain, Italy or Portugal.

Origin, not coverage.
Most international removers underplay the household end of the move. They lead with photographs of the Continent and treat the SE-London pickup as a logistics chore. We start the other way around. The Bexley-catchment household is the part the customer actually has to live with on the day; getting it right is the part most operators relay to a third-party haulier and lose visibility on. We don't do that.
The pickup catchment is bounded — Bexley itself plus Sidcup, Welling, Erith, Bexleyheath, Crayford, and Belvedere — and the destination set is bounded too. Four routes have dedicated documentation here because the customer profile from the catchment justifies it: France, Spain, Italy and Portugal. All four are road routes run by the same crew from collection to delivery, and there is no fifth.
What that means in practice: the lorry that loads on the DA-postcode street is the lorry that unloads at the destination address. The customs paperwork is filed by the same team that quotes the move. The route lead is a real human with a name; the quote is written by them; the move is run by them.

International removals turn into bad days when the customs filing is left as something to figure out at the border. We don't do that. The UK export declaration is filed before the lorry leaves the Bexley catchment. The destination import declaration is prepared ahead of arrival. The transfer-of-residence relief is filed against your residency document — the French déclaration de domicile, the Spanish empadronamiento, the Italian residenza registration, or the Portuguese certificado de bagagem — once it's in hand. You file the residency registration; we file the customs paperwork; the relief application closes when both are aligned.

We don't publish prices on the website. The reason isn't coyness; it's that every move is genuinely different — destination, contents volume, access at both ends, the specific customs path that applies to your residency arrangement, the season, the consolidation pattern. A homepage figure would mislead more visitors than it would inform. Submit photos and an inventory through the form and we'll come back with a written quote — fixed figure, route-specific, no surprise invoices on the day.
For corporate-billed relocations — finance-sector relocations from the SE-London catchment to Paris or Madrid, fashion-industry transfers to Milan, the academic and research moves into the French and Italian universities — we invoice the engaging employer or institution under their AP terms. The documentation pack includes the inventory CSV, the route timeline, the customs filing reference numbers, and the relocation-policy artefacts most HR and relocation teams require for reimbursement.

The local half
of the business.
Most of the work that leaves this yard never crosses the Channel at all. The European routes are what the brand is built around, but the weekly reality is house moves inside the borough: a flat above the Broadway going out to a first home in Barnehurst, a downsize from a four-bed in Old Bexley, a man-and-van job carrying one sofa from Erith to Welling. That work is not a sideline to the international business — it is what keeps a crew in the borough who know which streets in Erith are height-restricted and which lanes in Old Bexley a full-size lorry cannot turn in.
It also shapes how we quote. A firm that only does long-haul tends to price a local job by volume and distance, because that is the model it knows. A firm that works the borough every week prices by access, because access is what actually decides how long a Bexley move takes. The difference between a Danson-side semi with a long front path and a Barnehurst house with a driveway is an hour of crew time, and it does not show up in any measure of cubic metres.

A removals firm that claims to do everything is telling you something about its estimating rather than its capability. These are the jobs we refer on, and the reasons.
- Waste disposal
- We do not hold a waste carrier licence. Items going to an address, a buyer or a charity are ordinary work; items going to disposal need a licensed firm, and we will say so rather than quietly load them.
- Pianos, safes and hoisting
- Anything needing mechanical lifting is a specialist trade with specialist equipment. We quote those separately or refer them, rather than improvising with an extra pair of hands on the day.
- Gas, plumbing and hard-wired electrics
- Disconnection and reconnection need the relevant registered engineer. We will move the appliance; we will not be the ones who disconnected it.
- Destinations outside the four routes
- France, Spain, Italy and Portugal are the complete list. If you are moving elsewhere in Europe or beyond, we would rather tell you now than quote for a job we would have to hand to someone we have never worked with.
